Martone Cycling Co. proudly announces the collaboration with Recycle-A-Bicycle since September 2013.

Recycle-A-Bicycle (RAB) is a community-based bike shop and 501©3 non-profit organization that facilitates job training, environmental education, and everyday bicycling for people of all ages in NewYork City. Through innovative programs including Earn-A-Bike, Green Jobs Training Programs, Summer Youth Employment Programs, and Kids Ride Club, RAB provides opportunities for youth development and environmental stewardship to young people living in underserved communities. In the past year alone, more than 1,000 RAB youth collectively refurbished 500 bicycles, pedaled 10,000 miles, and burned 1,750,000 calories.

Recycle-A-Bicycle began as a youth program in 1994. RAB currently consists of two storefronts in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and Dumbo, Brooklyn, an education center in Long Island City, Queens, and we work with 20 NYC public school programs, some of which are located in District 75, a citywide district that provides educational opportunities for students with learning and developmental disabilities.

Recycle-A-Bicycle is developing its efforts in the realm of advocacy through initiatives like the annual Youth Bike Summit, participation in the National Bike Summit, and leading projects that involve urban planning and design along the Brooklyn waterfront.

Martone Cycling Co. and Recycle-A-Bycicle are officially partners: you can contribute as well: donate your bike, enroll in the programs, donate bike parts. We will offer you USD 150 discount when purchasing your Martone Cycling Co. bike if you donate your 2nd hand bike to RAB in reasonable conditions.

In addition, we offer to ship the bike to one of the two RAB locations (as an option to our NY customers)

to get it assembled for a discounted rate of USD 50. Not only you save money ( bike stores usually charge anywhere from USD 60 - 120 ) but the money you pay go into the programs described above or in the RAB website.
